Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land not their own...
where they will be enslaved and mistreated for four hundred years.
But afterward, they will leave with great substance.
Substance becomes leverage. Leverage becomes respect.
We are not starting from pain. We are starting from inheritance.
Survival is not passive. Every generation that made it through passed something forward: analysis, discipline, spiritual grounding, humor, code, and a refusal to disappear.
History taught us that power has structure. Isolated people can be ignored. People who know what they want, organize around it, and keep a public record are harder to dismiss.
We are building on what they left us.
