They started multiple wars that disrupted the flow of fuel and fertilizer—and drove up the cost of nearly everything. They cut the healthcare. They gutted the agencies that were supposed to catch the problem before it reached your street. They fired the people whose job was to count. Whatever name you want to put on it—the war, the bill, the department, the blueprint— you can see the hole it left from your own porch.
And the people who came out ahead do not live in your district. They will not be at the food bank, or the clinic that closed, or the school that lost its nurse. They never planned to be.

How We Pay for It

Healthcare is one of the largest expenses in public budgets. That is why it comes first — not because it matters more than food, housing, transportation, or jobs, but because it can become the funding engine that helps make all five essentials more affordable.
Healthcare spending is highly concentrated. Roughly the highest-spending 20% of people account for about 80% of total spending. Most people still need routine care, medicine, and help early — but they do not generate the catastrophic claims the current system is priced around.
PHIER-Powered care emphasizes affordable primary care, telehealth, prevention, early intervention, and direct-priced medicine. When routine care costs hundreds instead of thousands, the savings do not disappear. They become new possibilities.

Most movements organize people around problems. PHIERS organizes people around practical solutions.
People stay involved when life gets better. Better prices help families. Stronger services help communities. Useful work creates opportunity. Every improvement gives another person or organization a reason to participate.
More participation strengthens the district. Stronger districts create greater economic and political leverage. Greater leverage helps communities negotiate better prices, remove barriers, and expand the solutions.
The solutions create the leverage. The leverage expands the solutions.
That is how resilience grows.
So Here Is What We Demand
Everything above works right now — for the people organized enough to build it. Telehealth runs. Buying medicine together runs. Coordinating what a neighborhood is already owed runs. None of it is a theory, and none of it needs anybody's permission.
One vote makes it work for everybody.
Let our cooperative compete on the ACA exchange — alongside Medicare and Medicaid, where the money we already paid in is sitting. That is the whole ask.
They are not deciding whether this exists. It exists. They are deciding whether it reaches every district — or only the ones that got organized without them.
We don't need their permission. We're doing it anyway. They can help or get out of the way.
And that's just the first thing we make them do.
Think about what a Representative actually holds in their hands. They decide where every dollar of your money goes — that's the power of the purse, and it's theirs, not the President's. They can order factories to make what the country needs. They can take land back for public use. They set the tariffs that decide what you pay at the register.
Every one of those levers is already in their hands. Right now. They're just being pulled for somebody else.
Nobody has to pass a new law for a Representative to make your life cheaper. They already can. The only question is who they're listening to when they decide.
Five hundred names is how a district gets its hand on that.

You've got the demand. Here's how you make them answer it.
Right now you can call your Representative's office and a staffer writes your name on a pad. That's the whole system. One person calling is a complaint.
Five hundred people, organized, is a summons.
THE MECHANISM
500 names — your Representative comes home to a public room.
1,000 names — your Senator does too.
1,500 names — Congress remembers who it works for.
You call them back while they're home on recess. You tell them ahead of time exactly what you're going to ask — so nobody gets to stand up there and say they need to go think about it.
That's what the survey is for. It isn't a form. It's the notice.
Then you put them on a stage in front of their own district and ask them one question:
Will you vote to let people on public plans get care they can afford — yes or no?
There's nowhere to hide inside that question. It has two answers and both of them are on the record.
Nothing here is blocked by technology. It's blocked by people.
And people move when their district shows up at the door.
