The Men's Healing Circle and Men Accountable Project have stepped forward with PHIERS.org to help SCEC get better results. SCEC knows the education fight. The men bring people who will show up. PHIERS helps us put what we want in writing, put people behind it, take it to the people making the decisions, and keep score.

Why spreading the word matters now
500 gets your Representative to the table. 1,500 makes the district impossible to ignore.

The answer is simple: this is not just about schools. It is about a model for getting communities results faster.
PHIERS was created to strengthen the safety net, the economy, and the lives of individuals, families, and communities — locally, nationally, and beyond.
SCEC asked the Men Accountable Project (MAP) for help getting results. MAP responded by applying the PHIERS Accountability Model (PAM) to the work SCEC is already doing.
The model is straightforward:
Ask the people what they want. Put it on the record. Measure what happens. Hold the people responsible accountable.
The constituent survey tells us what people want addressed. The petition tells us how many people are willing to stand behind that demand. The five key questions give us a simple way to track what was promised, what was funded, what was done, and whether it actually worked.
We do not want to spend months presenting concerns, waiting for meetings, and then waiting again for someone to tell us what they plan to do.
That is why spreading the word matters now.
Every completed survey helps establish what the community wants. Every petition signature helps demonstrate the strength of that demand.
The sooner we reach 1,500, the sooner accountability can begin.

California gave schools more local control. Accountability has to keep up.

That is the gap this effort is designed to address. Our goal is to help SCEC demonstrate a practical accountability model other communities across California can adapt — and, if it works, communities beyond California can learn from.
